Cocoa Butter Lip Gloss

Making this cocoa butter lip gloss is simple and enjoyable. Only a few materials are required to make your nourishing cocoa lip balm. Learn how to make this moisturizing homemade lip balm by following the steps below.

Ingredients

  1. Beeswax (½ cup)
  2. Cocoa Butter (½ cup)
  3. High quality edible oil - Sweet Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil or Sunflower (1 cup)
  4. Essential oil of your choice (1 tsp)

Procedure

  • Before you begin, make sure you have all of your ingredients out and ready.
  • Add the oil, wax, and Cocoa or Shea Butter to the top section of a double boiler and measure or weigh them. Make sure there's enough water in the lower half of the double boiler to cover the bottom of the top pan. It's a little odd to measure cocoa wafers in cups, but it works! Half a cup of beeswax and half a cup of cocoa butter wafers, for example, both weigh roughly 60 grams.
  • Heat the ingredients over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until all of the ingredients have melted and combined fully. Stir once in a while. When heating the pot, do not cover it to prevent condensation (water) from affecting the lip balm.
  • Pour the liquid into your preferred lip balm containers while it is still hot. We find it simplest to pour the melted substance from the double-boiler into a glass measuring cup first (in batches if necessary) and then into small lip balm containers from there if you have one.
  • To avoid the mixture from cooling too rapidly or sticking when it comes into touch with the cool glass, microwave it for 30 seconds first. Return the mixture to the fire to re-melt if it begins to solidify before you've completed pouring.
  • Add lids or caps and labels once the lip balm has completely cooled and hardened. Apply whenever your lips feel chapped and enjoy the new luxurious suppleness of your lips.

Shea Cocoa Butter Lip Balm

Shea Cocoa Butter Lip Balm

This combination of Shea Cocoa Butter Lip Balm is one of our favourites since it creates a luscious balm that isn't too heavy on the beeswax. Because it works so effectively, you won't need to apply it all day every day. You just need to do this a couple of times a day, and your lips will be silky smooth.

Ingredients

  1. Beeswax 1 tsp
  2. Shea Butter 2 tsp
  3. Cocoa butter 1 tsp
  4. Almond Oil 1 tsp
  5. Jojoba Oil 1 tsp
  6. Vitamin E 5 drops
  7. Essential Oil of choice 12-18 drops

Procedure

  • In the top of a double boiler, combine beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter.
  • In a double boiler, melt the butters and waxes over low heat until thoroughly mixed.
  • Stir in the almond oil and jojoba oil.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the Vitamin E and essential oils.
  • Fill lip balm tubes or tins with the mixture.
  • Allow to cool completely before using (at least 30 minutes).
  • Apply onto lips whenever you feel like it and bask in the goodness of cocoa butter.

Vanilla Cocoa Lip Balm

Shea Cocoa Butter Lip Balm

This recipe is really easy to create, has a vanilla and chocolatey cocoa butter flavour, and leaves your lips smooth and shining. Only a half-hour of your time and a few lovely, natural items like cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, and beeswax are required for this project.

Ingredients

  1. 7g Beeswax
  2. 15g Cocoa Butter
  3. 30g Sweet Almond oil
  4. 10 drops Vanilla Flavor Oil
  5. 8 drops of Vitamin E oil

Procedure

  • In a small pan, combine the beeswax, cocoa butter, and sweet almond oil; if you have one with a sauce-pouring spout, the better. Using the double-boiler method, totally melt the oils by floating the pan containing the oils inside a pan filled with hot water. This ensures that the oils dissolve uniformly while remaining cool.
  • Stir in the flavour oil (optional) and vitamin E oil well. Try to mix them using a bamboo skewer since it doesn't gather up too much oil. When you dip a cold spoon into the oil, a lot of the lip balm will 'stick' to it when you remove it.
  • These lip balms will be good to use if they are allowed to cool to room temperature. If you rub the lip balm on your lips for the first time, it could feel a little gritty. It will, however, dissolve and feel silky smooth in a matter of seconds.
  • Leave them on the counter with the lids off to cool at room temperature. Within an hour or two, they'll cool and solidify.
  • Your lip balm is now ready to be used!

Conclusion

This Cocoa Butter for Lip Balm recipes are simple to create and contain much safer ingredients than store-bought lip balm. Cocoa butter and the other components of these lip balms don't leave a greasy film on your lips, but instead absorb swiftly and deeply hydrate your skin. Along with leaving a delicious scent on your lips! We hope this DIY tutorial gives you the confidence and enthusiasm to make your own natural cocoa butter lip balm.
