Directions

  1. In a bowl cut small pieces of cocoa and kokum butter melt and pour soap base and place it either in the microwave or a saucepan to melt.
  2. Take it out of the microwave when its consistency is liquid.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds and mix.
  4. Pour the mix into the silicone mould and let the soaps set for about 2 days.
  5. Pop the soaps out as they are ready to gently exfoliate the skin.

  1. Avocado oil - 65 ml
  2. Shea butter - 2 tablespoons
  3. Olive oil - 250 ml
  4. Coconut oil - 185 ml
  5. Castor oil - 30 ml
  6. Sodium hydroxide - 85 ml
  7. Distilled water - 180 ml
  8. Ground coffee - 2 tablespoons

Directions for DIY Coffee Exfoliating Soap

  1. It is important to wear protection to safeguard your hands and mouth. So wear gloves and a face mask at the start of the process.
  2. In a bowl take 65 ml of avocado oil, 2 tablespoons of Shea butter, 250 ml of olive oil, 185 ml of coconut oil, and 30 ml of castor oil. Place the bowl in the microwave or saucepan to melt.
  3. Once all the ingredients have melted, take the bowl out.
  4. Now take another bowl to form a lye solution by taking 85 ml of sodium hydroxide and slowly pouring 180 ml of water. The temperature of the solution will rise rapidly. Be careful.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of ground coffee into the oils and butter mix.
  6. Now slowly add the lye solution to the oils, butter, and ground coffee mix.
  7. Use a whisk for several minutes to whip everything together.
  8. Pour the mix into the silicone moulds.
  9. Remove them after 24 hours and let them cure again for 7 weeks.

  1. In a bowl cut small pieces of goat milk melt and pour soap base and place it either in the microwave or a saucepan to melt.
  2. Once it has melted turn off the heat.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds, 1 teaspoon of coffee seed oil, and 6 drops of coffee fragrance oil. Mix again.
  4. Pour the mix into the silicone moulds and let them set for 2 days. Pop them out and use them.
