How To Make Pumpkin Spice Bath Bombs
Celebrate autumn with these simple pumpkin spice bath bombs. Pretty enough to offer as a gift, but save some for yourself.
Ingredients
- Baking Soda - 1 1/2 Cup
- Citric Acid - 3/4 Cup
- Bentonite Clay - 1 Tablespoon
- Epsom Salts - Tablespoon
- Melted Coconut Oil - 2 Tablespoon
- Essential Oil Blend - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Polysorbate 80 - 1/2 Tablespoon
- Red Mica Powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Yellow Mica Powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Fall Sprinkles Blend - 2-4 Tablespoons
- Alcohol - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Bath Bomb Moulds - 4-5
Direction
Step 1: Mix the baking soda, citric acid, clay, and Epsom salts.
Step 2: In a second bowl, add the melted coconut oil, essential oil blend, and polysorbate 80, stirring well.
Step 3: Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients, one teaspoon at a time, mixing slowly to avoid starting the fizzy reaction.
Step 4: Add the red and yellow mica powders and swirl until the colour is uniform. If you want a more vivid hue, add more mica powder in 1 teaspoon increments, stirring between each one until you get a dark tone. Keep in mind that the colour will fade slightly when the combination dries.
Step 5: Cornstarch should be dusted onto the bottom of one side of the bath bomb form. The sprinkled side prefers to emerge on its own, so don't bother dusting it with cornstarch.
Step 6: Place approximately 1 teaspoon of sprinkles on the non-dusted side of the bath bomb mould.
Step 7: Immediately fill each side of the bath bomb mould with the mixture. Pack extra bath bomb mixture between the two moulds, then press the two sides together, grinding and pressing to ensure they stick together.
Step 8: Allow the bath bombs to sit in the mould for up to 24 hours before gently tapping the top and sides to release them.
Step 9: Bath bombs can be used immediately or stored in an airtight container until ready to use!
