DIY Fizzy Bath Bomb Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Baking Soda - 1 ½ Cups
  • Citric Acid Powder - ½ Cup
  • Purple Food Coloring - 2 Drops
  • Sweet Almond Oil - 2 Teaspoons
  • Lavender Essential Oil - 5 Drops
  • Dried Lavender Flower - 1 Tablespoon

Supplies:

  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Spatula
  • Bath Bomb Mould
  • Measuring Cups and Spoon

Directions:

Step 1: In a bowl, start by adding 1 ½ cups of baking soda and ½ cup of citric acid powder.

Step 2: Take another bowl for wet ingredients and add 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil, 2 drops of purple food coloring, and 5 drops of lavender essential oil.

Step 3: You can also pick any oil of your choice. Now, take the wet bowl and pour the oil mixture into the dry ingredients. Make sure to stir the mixture to evenly distribute ingredients constantly.

Step 4: When everything is thoroughly mixed, take some of the fizzy bath bomb mixture into your hand and try to form a ball out of it.

Step 5: If the ball holds together, go ahead with the rest of the recipe; if not, then add a few drops of water into the mix. So it can hold better.

Step 6: Once the mixture is ready, take the bath bomb molds, add a tablespoon of dried lavender flowers to the bath bomb mold, and fill it with the mixture.

Step 7: Make sure to overflow the bath bomb in order to stick together properly. Hold each half of the moulds together firmly.

Step 8: Leave the mould for an hour before taking it out of the mould. Use a spoon to gently tap on the shell of the mould to release the bath bomb.

Step 9: Again, leave the bath bomb to set for about 24 hours in a cool and dry place. It is recommended to use the fizzy bath bomb in hot water to activate the fizzy properly.
