Ingredients:

  • Castor Oil - 50 Grams
  • Virgin Olive Oil - 150 Grams
  • Virgin Coconut Oil - 150 Grams
  • Lavender Essential Oil - 20 Grams
  • Bergamot Essential Oil - 10 Grams
  • Unrefined Shea Butter - 100 Grams
  • Kaolin Clay Powder - 1 Tablespoon

Supplies:

  • Bowls
  • Spoon
  • Silicone Molds
  • Measuring Scale

  • Double Boiler/ Saucepan

Directions:

Step 1: In a saucepan melt shea butter and virgin coconut oil.

Step 2: Start by taking a bowl and adding 150 grams of olive oil, 150 grams of refined coconut oil, 100 grams of unrefined shea butter, 40 grams of castor oil, and 1 tablespoon of kaolin clay.

Step 3: Mix. When everything is properly mixed add 20 grams of lavender essential oil and 10 grams of bergamot essential oil. Mix again.

Step 4: Now you can transfer the lavender and bergamot soap mix to the silicone molds to set. Once it has completely hardened remove the soap from the molds.

2. Orange and Bergamot Soap

Ingredients:

  • Castor Oil - 50 Grams
  • Distilled Water - 126 Grams
  • Virgin Olive Oil - 170 Grams
  • Sweet Almond Oil - 75 Grams
  • Sodium Hydroxide - 70 Grams
  • Virgin Coconut Oil - 125 Grams
  • Mango Body Butter - 25 Grams
  • Mango Body Butter - 50 Grams
  • Bergamot Essential Oil - 10 Grams
  • Orange Zest (Optional) - ½ Orange
  • Sweet Orange Essential Oil - 10 Grams

Supplies:

  • Bowls

Directions:

Step 1: Add 170 grams of virgin olive oil, 75 grams of sweet almond oil, and 50 grams of castor oil into a separate bowl. Heat the ingredients in a saucepan until everything has melted.

Step 2: In another bowl take 125 grams of refined coconut oil and melt. Take an empty bowl and add 50 grams of mango butter.

Step 3: Microwave for a few seconds until mango butter turns liquid. In a heat-resistant take add ingredients for lye such as 70 grams of sodium hydroxide and 126 grams of distilled water.

Step 4: Stir well. Make sure the lye temperature reaches between 38 to 43 Degrees Celsius.

Step 5: To make the trace add 25 grams of mango butter melted, 10 grams of orange essential oil, 10 grams of bergamot essential oil and half orange zest. Stir.

Step 6: Now pour all the ingredients into the same container and mix thoroughly. Transfer the orange and bergamot soap mixture to the molds to harden for about 48 hours.

Step 7: After 48 hours remove the soaps from the molds and let them cure for another 28 days. Store the soaps in a container away from direct sunlight.
