Homemade Sunscreen Sticks With SPF - DIY Recipes

We all love an excellent sun-kissed picture, but in reality, we never want to step out in the sun’s harsh rays and get sunburnt, followed by tanning. Unprotected sun exposure leads to sunburn, premature aging, and an increased risk of skin cancer. However, store-bought sunscreen offers protection, and some concerns may arise about harsh chemicals and limited ingredient transparency.

Homemade Sunscreen Sticks

To tackle this concern, we have developed a few homemade sunscreen sticks to give you complete control over the ingredients you put on your skin. This allows you to create a natural, safe, and free from harmful chemicals like oxybenzone and octinoxate.

Are Sunscreen Sticks Effective?

Yes, sunscreen sticks are effective when used correctly to protect against harmful UV rays. The reapplication of sunscreen should be done every 2 to 3 hours before stepping outside in the sun or after sweating and swimming. Sunscreen sticks work wonderfully for no mess application on the face or makeup. Adding to the benefits of the sunscreen, it does not leave a white cast compared to spray-on or everyday sunscreen.

How To Make Sunscreen Sticks ?

With the recipes prescribed below, you can craft 2 regular-size sunscreen sticks. Simple five steps you can easily follow and craft in about 5 minutes and an additional 3 to 4 hours for the sunscreen stick to set. You will have your homemade sunscreen in no time.

These sunscreen sticks would ditch the hassle of reapplying the sunblock after every 2 to 3 hours. All you have to do is get it out of your bag, remove the cap, roll the stick, and apply it to the desired exposed area.
